If you are looking for Arsenal signed shirts and other memorabilia then you have come to the right place!
Arsenal football club was founded in 1886 as Dial Square – since then it’s been one of the UK’s most celebrated and keenly followed teams. The club hailed from humble beginnings as is the case with many of our premiership heavyweights, spending almost 90 years at the iconic Highbury before moving on up to the 59,900 capacity Emirates Stadium in 2006.
They were the first Southern football team to join the Premier League back in 1893 – and since then they’ve dominated, claiming a total of thirteen league titles. Arsenal FC is known for its Premier League and FA Cup wins. Their trophy cabinet is positively gleaming with silverware thanks to a record fourteen FA Cups, sixteen FA Community Shields and one UEFA Cup Winner’s Cup, making them English football’s third most successful team of all time! Arsenal is the tenth most valuable football club in the world with a Forbes valuation of $2.26b.
The glory years include a 22 year tenure for the legendary Frenchman Arsène Wenger who joined Arsenal in 1996. This discipline he installed manifested itself on the pitch with the club picking up the league and cup double in 1997-8 after Wenger signed fellow countrymen Patrick Viera and Thierry Henry. They won the Premier League again in 2003-4 without losing a single game – this earned them the nickname, The Invincibles! They won their 13FA Cup in 2016-17 but finished 5th in the Premier League. Wenger left the club in 2018.
Unai Emery became the club’s new head coach in 2018. He was subsequently dismissed after the club came 5th. He had signed Nicholas Pépé and David Luiz as well as Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid. After losing 7 games in a row he was sacked with former player Freddie Ljunberg taking over as interim. Mikel Arteta took the permanent role in late 2019, and after another disappointing finish in the Premiership they picked up anther FA Cup. After a cracking run during the 2023/4 season they finally gave way to Liverpool and Man City, finishing third.
Arsenal Signed Shirts
We can trace the origins of the Arsenal kit right back to 1886 when the team played in blood red jerseys. It was only at the start of the 1920 season that they started playing in their iconic red football shirts. During the 1926-27 cup, the first of their iconic logos was added. It was during the ’29-30 season that the familiar cannon was added to the top. Arsenal hooked up with Bukta who produced the shirts in the early ’60s before Umbro took over in 1969, with the maker’s brand appearing on the shirts in 1977.
In 1981 Arsenal signed their first sponsorship deal with JVC whose logo emblazoned the front of the shirt. This lasted up until 1999 when Sega took over. O2 took over in 2002 and in 2006 the club cut a deal with Emirates, whose logo we see on the shirts today. Now you don’t just have to buy one, you can get a beautiful framed Arsenal shirt from our extensive collection available to buy online!
