Finn Russell plays premiership rugby for Bath and captains the Scottish national team. He has played over fifty professional test matches after first taking the captaincy of Scotland in 2014. He has also played with British & Irish Lions in 2017 and 2021.
Initially playing for Stirling County he moved to Falkirk in 2011, and was selected to play for Ayr in 2012/13, helping them the double. He moved to Glasgow Warriors, making his debut in the clash against Zebre, and made a significant contribution to Glasgow’s Pro12 win.
Russell moved to French team Racing 92 in 2017 and in 2022 joined Bath Rugby following the 2023 RWC. He had what was described by one pundit as a meteoric rise into the topflight of international rugby for the way he quickly advanced to the national team. This has taken him to being named co-captain for the for the 2024 Six Nations Championship. Russell is highly regarded in the world of Scottish football. playing in many of the big games in the Rugby World Cup and Six Nations.
