Huddersfield Town are a professional football club based in West Yorkshire, in the North of England. The club plays in the EFL Championship with their home ground being the John Smith’s Stadium. Huddersfield Town were formed in 1908, joining the Football league a couple of years later in 1910. The club had an incredibly successful spell in the 1920s. They became the first club in England to win 3 back-to-back league titles in 1926. Huddersfield Town also won the FA Cup in 1922 under the leadership of Herbert Chapman.

They were managed by the legendary Bill Shankly in the late 1950s and had key players such as Denis Law. Huddersfield were relegated from the top flight in 1972. They then spent the following 45 years in the bottom leagues of English football. Huddersfield were promoted to the Premier League in 2017, playing excellent football. They were unfortunately relegated back to the Championship two years later.

Huddersfield play in blue and white and the club’s nickname is ‘The Terriers’. The town’s coat of arms is the club’s emblem.
